Spaying or neutering your pet can help them live a longer, healthier life, minimize behavior problems, and help control the population of unwanted dogs and cats. Spaying and neutering are best performed before pets mature and have been proven to prevent breast cancer in females and prostatic disease in males.

What happens when a pet is spayed or neutered?
Before the operation, we will assess your pet to minimize risk. While your pet is under anesthesia we take individual care for the safety of each pet. Our certified technicians and doctors are trained in advanced monitoring to ensure your pet’s comfort.
Pets are placed under general anesthesia to perform spay and neuter procedures.
Both procedures are performed through small incisions used to remove certain reproductive organs. After a spay or neuter, the incision is closed with sutures and the patient rests in a recovery ward until they are ready to go back home with you!
Your pet’s recovery from surgery is just as important as the surgery itself. A proper recovery will help your pet heal quickly and correctly, helping you to avoid other issues such as slow healing and infections. When your pet is sent home from surgery, your veterinarian will make several recommendations for keeping your pet comfortable and safe as they heal.
